Where Needle Art Lives

The mission of the Embroiderers’ Guild of America is to inspire passion for the needle arts through education and the celebration of its heritage.

The Embroiderers’ Guild of America, Inc. (EGA) is a not-for-profit national organization whose purpose is to set and maintain high standards of excellence in the art of embroidery through an active program of study and education. EGA defines embroidery as any stitching done with a needle with any eye. From beginner to professional, membership is open to anyone who loves needlework and has a desire to learn and develop new skills.

EGA is broken into thirteen regions. The Lehigh Valley Chapter (LVEGA) is part of the Mid-Atlantic Region (MAR) which is composed of Delaware, Maryland, the District of Columbia, as well as parts of New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Virginia.

The Lehigh Valley EGA chapter is part of the Embroiderers’ Guild of America, a 501(c)(3) organization.  EGA, MAR, and LVEGA provide many educational opportunities including national and regional seminars, correspondence courses, cyberworkshops, and chapter meetings.
